Join us at the Writing Table for any specific calendar month for just $30.
We meet most weekdays.* The rate is $30 per month. If you are considering the purchase of seven or more months at the Writing Table, consider additional savings by purchasing the full year membership.
Writing sessions are typically 75 minutes.
Start time is 9a ET // 8a CT // 7a MT // 6a PT
Writing concludes in an hour, and we spend 10 minutes debriefing and strategy sharing. This brief conversation and friendly coaching helps to solidify writing habits.
What will you get by joining the Writing Table?
Weekly email reminders – Each Sunday and Thursday you get email reminders that include inspiration, writing quotes, and guidance on how to improve your practice.
Relevant support – First and foremost we support each other by showing up. The community that emerges at the Writing Table goes beyond our 5 hours of writing together each week. Knowing others are writing at the same time each day will urge you to also show up and write.
Intentional focus on process – At the Writing Table you never have to say what you are working on; the focus is on how we cultivate habits to get our writing done. Certainly, some writers share what they are writing, and we invite celebrations of accomplishments. But you are never required to share your work!
Thoughts, ideas, and skills – Learning a practice like writing, means there is always room for grow and improvement. Gathering each day with pastors, professor, authors and poets means we get to learn from each other what works, what to avoid, and how we can improve our skills and habits of writing.
Inspiration to start, finish, and survive the muddy middle – writing comes in stages, and we need different things at different moments in a project. Being at different stages when we gather, means we borrow wisdom from each other such as “touching the project” and “leaving a trail of breadcrumbs” and “writing to think.”
No WT Police – Eileen likes to say, “There are no Writing Table Police!” We are not here for guilt, criticism, or shame. We are not going to emphasize rules or fuss when you are late. We are here for support, encouragement, energy, and accountability.
Great Results – We know a tree by its fruit. We know something is working when we see the results. Visit our website and learn more about some of the fantastic writing that has come to life at the Writing Table. We hope you will join us and add your links soon.
Time to write – the best part of the Writing Table is having designated time to write each weekday. A little writing each day adds up quicker than you think it might.
Accountability and camaraderie – with a community of writers you can writing alone, but in a community. This makes the writing time both easier and more fun, honestly.
Breathing and intention setting – each writing session includes centering breath work, focus on intentions and silence for writing in two twenty-five minute poms.
Lasting writing habits – you will be building your habits and becoming an everyday writer; daily writing is a proven path to more publishing and greater fluency as a writer.
Encouraging and supportive coaching – we share strategies at the end of each writing session, and Eileen offers friendly coaching and encouragement; for more one-on-one coaching options, see the other offerings in the courses home base.
Join professors, pastors, students, poets, business writers, full time authors, and journal keepers at the Writing Table.
